TOWN PLANNING
Many things can be done to address the problem of poverty and slums in
urban areas. Among others:
1. Opens Training Center
One of the factors of poverty is not getting a job as a source of
livelihood. This
can be because of the limited jobs available, low education or have no job
skills expected by the company. So
that those who do not meet the criteria of job seekers will be eliminated by
those who have work skills. Eventually
they lost the opportunity to get a job. This
can be overcome by opening training centers that provide pelatihanpelatihan /
skills in accordance with the criteria of job seekers so that they become
employable manpower needed by the job seeker.
2. Green Activities in Environmental Slum
Areas that should be green areas or catchments much has changed into slums.
If
evicted instead of disappearing even more to expand and grow like mushrooms in
the rainy season. What
needs to be done is a slum communities are given counseling and coaching is to
green activities such as recycling of waste into fertilizer or sort the waste
for recycling so as to provide income to be able to support life.
3. Build a Cheap Housing
Residential building on the river bank, under a bridge, or on the outskirts of the railroad is not justified. The cost of housing is so high it is the reason they are to build a makeshift shelter in the area -area undue. For that's the role of government is needed to help provide housing / shelter cost for the populations of its economy is still below standard. The strategic steps that need to be made to the arrangement of slum areas are:
1. More effective control of population administration in cooperation with the village mewilayahi slums.
2. Realignment of the environment by providing showers and public toilets, waste management program SANIMAS and self-help in the slums.
3. Increased community healthy behavior
4. Socialization of the city government's policies related to the realignment program slums need to be encouraged to involve community groups in the slums.
In realizing a healthy environment is rooted in efforts to improve environmental quality social culture rests on two main aspects namely:
• Participation of the community to control the noble values in the process of social life. Operational improvements in the form of socio-cultural environment to include public participation in efforts to increase public awareness for healthy behave in micro aspects such as household hygiene, and others.
